Short Videos That Sell Wooden Boards: 10 Ideas for Kitchen Stores
Share
Wooden boards look, sound and feel good, which makes them ideal for short videos. A phone and a few minutes a week are enough.
10 ideas
- The sound. A knife on an end-grain board, filmed close up.
- Oiling. Oil going on, the wood colour deepening. Before and after in one shot.
- Old vs new. A scratched plastic board next to a wooden one.
- A serving board in 30 seconds. Cheese, fruit and bread arranged at speed.
- Unboxing. A new delivery opened in the store.
- Which would you pick? Two boards with different patterns. Ask viewers to choose in the comments.
- Size check. A board on a worktop and next to a sink, with a tape measure.
- A myth in 15 seconds. “Is wood unhygienic?” One question, one short answer.
- Engraving. The process from blank board to finished name, if you offer it.
- Staff pick. A team member shows a favourite board and says why.
Filming tips
- Vertical format, natural light
- Show the board in the first two seconds
- Add subtitles, as many people watch without sound
- Keep it to 15–30 seconds
- End with “available in store” and your address
- Use music from the app’s licensed library only
- Ask customers for permission before filming them

Two short videos a week work better than one long video a month. Note which ones bring questions or visits and make more of those.
