Wedding Registries and Gift Lists: Getting Wooden Boards on the List
Share
A wedding gift list brings a store not one sale but twenty, from guests who often have never visited before. Wooden boards fit these lists well: they last, they are used every day and they can be personalised.
1. A simple gift list service
- Couples book a short appointment and choose items in the store
- The list is kept in your shop system or as a simple online page
- Guests buy in store or online, and you mark items as reserved
- All gifts are handed over or delivered together after the wedding
2. Prices for every guest
Suggest a mix so that each guest finds something in their budget:
- Small: care oil, a cheese knife, a small serving board
- Medium: a bread board, a medium cutting board
- Large: an end-grain board, a large serving board
- Group gift: a wine table or a complete board set
3. Engraving
Names and the wedding date turn a board into a keepsake. Agree on lead times early and collect engraving orders in time.
4. Reaching couples
Wedding fairs, bridal shops, venues and photographers can recommend your service. A small display with a “Gift list” sign in the store also works.
5. After the wedding
Offer the couple a discount on items that were not bought. With their consent, a note on the first anniversary is a good reason to come back.
